How much are your cakes?

It is difficult to have a set pricing sheet due to the fact that there are many elements that determine the pricing for your cake, such as design, size and materials used.  All of our cakes are priced by the serving (this is an industry standard).  Our pricing starts are $4.75 per serving.  For a cake quote or more information on our custom cakes, please call 682-503-4075 and speak with a cake decorator.  We do not offer quotes via email. 

can you duplicate a picture of a cake?

Absolutely! We do this all the time, but our favorite part is when we can custom design your cake. There is no charge for this service and this is when we get to let our creative side show. Most customers have many designs they like and we work with you on creating your own unique custom design.

Do you offer tastings?

Absolutely.  Our tastings are $25.00 for a maximum of 4 people (minimum of age 10).  If you book with us at your tasting, your $25.00 tasting fee will be credited to your overall wedding cake balance.  

What do I need to know about your tastings?

Our tastings are unique to Moonlight Cakes. We block an hour for your tasting and let you and your guests (up to 4 people, total) sample over 8 of our top cake flavors and fillings. We ask that you bring pictures, color swatches, invitations, or anything else that would help us to better understand the look and feel of your wedding.

How many servings do i need for my wedding cake?

Let us do the math for you. We try very hard to make sure you have enough cake for all of your guests, but are not left with too much cake to take home at the end of the night. We will recommend servings based on the time of day, the meal and the presence of alcohol.

Do you deliver and what is the delivery fee?

Yes, we offer delivery for our custom and wedding cakes that meet the minimum order requirements ($750, before delivery fees) with delivery prices starting at $50, but final delivery pricing is dependent on location of venue, day of week, holiday delivery, mileage, time, etc.  Please contact us for specific delivery pricing, and we can give you a quote.  

HOW SHOULD I TRANSPORT MY CAKE IF I AM NOT HAVING IT DELIVERED?

The best way to self transport any cake is on a flat level surface in the vehicle. The floorboard, or cargo area of an SUV or van are great places for your cake. You will want to make sure you avoid any sharp turns or sudden stops, and the most important thing is keep your vehicle cool. Never stop to run an errand for any length of time in any weather, as your car will be hot and icing may melt. We are not responsible for cakes once they have left our shop, and all cakes should be refrigerated until close to serving time, and leftovers returned to refrigeration. Please be sure to check with our staff about appropriate transportation for your cake. 

Can you match the colors i am using?

For color matching on wedding cakes and custom orders we ask that you provide a swatch of the shade you would like and we will do our best to match the color but cannot guarantee an exact match. With edible products and food grade dyes exact matches are sometimes difficult to achieve. Also be advised that dark colors will sometimes taste a little bitter, or stain teeth. Please speak with a decorator about matching color, or alternate ways to incorporate color into your design.  

When should I order my cake?

As soon as you know you need a cake. Most weddings book 6-12 months ahead, so you can imagine our calendar stays pretty full.  For custom cakes, we ask for at least a weeks notice but please note, our calendar can book up quickly so the sooner the better.  

HOW DO I ENSURE MY DATE DOES NOT GET TAKEN?

To hold the date for your special event, we require a $250.00 deposit (non-refundable).

Where are you located?

Our shop is located at 2816 Central Dr. Suite 152, Bedford, TX 76021. 

do you offer FREE anniversary cakes?

Yes! We offer a 5" anniversary cake for you and your spouse as our gift to you on your one year anniversary.  All you need to do is give us a call one week before you are celebrating to place your order.  

Do you deliver?

Yes, you can find us on UberEats and DoorDash or you can schedule a delivery with us if those do not reach your destination.

Do you do custom design cupcakes?

Yes, we love to create custom designs. You can either bring us a picture of what you want or we will work with you to create something special.

How much notice do you need for an order?

It depends. For special designs (anything other than our normal way of decorating) we ask for at least 3 days notice. This allows us time if we need to order something special for your design. If you are just wanting our normal decorated cupcakes, we require 24 hours notice.

Do you offer gluten/diary free options?

No, unfortunately our kitchen is not equipped for special dietary requests.

Do you offer other desserts?

No, we specialize in cupcakes and cakes. However, we can usually recommend someone for other desserts.

how do i place an order?

You can place your order over the phone or in person.  We do not accept orders via email. 

**Please note, your order is not placed until a non-refundable deposit has been placed.  

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

For weddings cakes, large events, or custom cakes--all deposit and payments made toward your balance are non-refundable or non-transferable.  

For special design cupcakes or cakeballs--all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.  If your order is canceled before 72 hours a store credit will be given.  If order is canceled within 72 hours, no store credit or refund will be issued.
