CRAFT

  • Mopac Event Center 1615 Rogers Road Fort Worth, TX 76107 USA (map)

Craft is an annual craft cocktail competition fundraising event benefiting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation North Texas chapter. Craft bartenders from area restaurants and bars will convene annually at the event to compete in a craft cocktail contest where patrons will vote for the Best Craft Cocktail in Cowtown. A panel of celebrity judges will also vote on the Judges' Choice Award for an honorable mention.

Why the name "Craft?" This event is much more than a fun time crafting great cocktails. Proceeds from Craft benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation North Texas and the organization's mission to find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease or "IBD") and to improve the lives of the more than 70,000 North Texans living with these diseases. Crohn's & Colitis Foundation North Texas aims to serve these patients through a variety of services such as medical research, local support groups, education events, and Camp Oasis (a one-week summer camp designed to accommodate children suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis)

With your support, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation North Texas can continue to provide these life changing programs and services to children and adults battling the debilitating effects of IBD.

Since the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's founding nearly five decades ago, the foundation has remained at the forefront of research. Today, the foundation funds cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurtures investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finances underdeveloped areas of research. The National Institute of Health has commended the foundation for "uniting the research community and strengthening IBD research."

Beyond research, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation collaborates with healthcare providers to improve IBD quality of care, as well as educating, supporting, and empowering patients and their caregivers through patient-centric education and advocacy programs.
